MeCoDEM: Media, Conflict and Democratisation

MeCoDEM is a consortium of eight universities in Europe and Africa that focuses on investigating the role of media in democratization-related conflict. It is coordinated by Katrin Voltmer at the University of Leeds, and furthermore includes researchers at Ruhr University Bochum, the University of Hamburg, Oxford University, Rhodes University, Stockholm University, the University of Belgrade and the American University in Cairo. MeCoDEM is funded under the same EU FP7 call as INFOCORE.

RECORD: Frame Justification and Resonance in Conflict-Related Discourse

RECORD focuses on the role of frame resonance in conflict-related discourse. It is a Marie Curie Intra-European Fellowship project conducted by Christian Baden together with Tamir Sheafer at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem.
